Once you have a domain name and a website (or a website in development) it's time to post it up on the internet. This is done by getting the site hosted on a server. We do this more cheaply than individuals can do it because we buy bulk space on a server in a data-centre not far from our own base.
Once it's up we then maintain the site. The maintenance need comes from these initiatives:
It's important that maintenance is done, and seen to be done by the search engines. On a regular basis they send out their ‘spiders’ and ‘crawlers’ to creep over every site on their databases. They take a shapshot (cache) of every site and compare with the one on their records and note if there are changes.
If no changes are made, then over a period the site will fall in the rankings. Therefore it's good to make changes, particularly to the text. The search engines want top-rank well-loved sites at the top, not ones which are neglected.
Hosting and maintenance (as all our services) are included in the first year £295 fee and also the subsequent £75 per annum membership fee. (There are no hidden costs.)
